Keystone Appeal

Brethren, let me introduce myself; my name is Tony Jacobs and I took over from Trevor Tinley at the July meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge as Charity Steward. I must add my thanks to those of the Provincial Grand Master to Trevor for the stirling work he has carried out over the past seven years, handing over a sound base for the future.

For those that unfortunately did not attend this year’s Provincial Meeting at Ipswich One, they would have missed our Provincial Grand Master thank the members of the East Anglian Mark Province for their unbelievable efforts in raising money for the Keystone Appeal; our original target was £100,000. It was immense pleasure that PGM announced that the final total raised was an amazing £213,534.

This had surpassed all expectations and as a big thank you the PGM announced that the brethren could have ‘a year out’ from formal fund raising and concentrate on local causes. If lodges are supporting a Local Registered Charity they can be put forward for Match Funding of up to £250.00 from the Province.

Here’s looking forward to receiving your applications!
