Following the successful launch of the Programme of Support for Young Carers in our Province on the 10th May 2017 the Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro Paul Norman has asked that the Brethren should be made fully aware of the very special support the grant has enabled “Break” to implement.

The programme which has been agreed that will entail specific activities, spread over a period of six months, designed to cater for a wide range of needs. These include;

  • Young Carers group in schools
  • Drama therapy workshops
  • Mentors and Mentoring
  • Sibling’s residential outings
  • Individual therapeutic sessions

In total 101 Young People will be given the opportunity to access the programme and the benefits it provides. A report will be made by Break at the three and six month periods.

The Provincial Grand Master has indicated that the EAMBA donation will provide a section of our community with much needed support and it has been recognised that this group of young people, often overlooked, will benefit immensely.

The Brethren of the Mark Province of East Anglia should feel extremely proud of the enormous contribution they have made to ensure this programme can be implemented.
