Provincial Officers Dinner

Last night (22/4/16) we had the Provincial Officers "Ins and Outs" Dinner and thanks again to the Wardens Martin Plane and Roger Browne for organising a great night. Here are some photos and apologies for the inferior quality, but there is only one Tim Ridley!

Now please allow me to get personal. Last year I was privileged to be appointed Provincial Grand Sword Bearer and proud to carry the sword on every Provincial Visit when required. My tenure is coming to an end and I wish my successor and all other incoming Active Officers an enjoyable and successful year. Two pieces of advice. Get out there visiting and enjoy it, the two go together. Ask the Secretary for a Summons and book yourself in. You will make friends. You will go to a lodge knowing a couple of people and leave knowing a few. You go back and you leave knowing more and it grows. Then the Secretary sends you the Summons without even asking and says, “You are coming aren’t you!”. As the PGM said last night, the Province has given you an Office for a year, but don’t leave it there. Repay that commitment by continuing to visit and support the Province in any way you can. I will be out there again on my travels as will Roger Browne, another one who has enjoyed it so much can’t stay away and we have struck up quite a friendship. So brethren, enjoy your Mark Masonry and let the journey continue.
