Stradbroke Lodge of RAM No 603 - Centenary

603RAM Mar17 44

Another first. This time I was to present a centenary warrant to the lodge. On this occasion I was accompanied by over 23 Provincial Grand Lodge Officers. The ceremonial was under the direction of W.Bro Gary Allen the Provincial GDC, and he did an excellent job. Everything that had to be thought about was. Everyone had a seat, even the Brother who arrived hot foot from London.

In we went and I accepted the Commanders chair, appointed officers to assist me and got down to work. It is worthy of note that the warrant bears the actual signature of the Grand Master and is presented on his behalf to the members of the lodge.

The warrant duly presented, we retired to the bar for a well-earned drink. As we had the fortune to have with us the PGM for Cambridgeshire, I invited him to retire with me and cordially invited him to join us in a celebratory drink. The evening continued when we were called to dinner and enjoyed the treats and delights of the replica of the consecration menu.

All in all a great evening, lots of smiling faces and happy brethren. A big thank you to all who attended.
