Provincial Grand Lodge goes to York

mark meets craft dec 2018 9

What a night! 50+brethren gathered together in Cambridge for an advancement, and a “Mark meets the Craft” evening. All followed by an uproarious Buffett supper.

The Brethren of York Mark lodge so ably led by their WM, W.Bro. Kevin Doggett advanced Bro Robert Wane with lots of audience participation. Sometimes a little ott!, but well intentioned. The Senior Deacon was a real ‘tour de force’, and conducted the candidate with dignity and grace.

Once the lodge had been closed 23 craft masons joined us to hear about the Mark and its benefits. W.Bro Martin Plane had provided the Brethren with leaflets and a questionnaire to be completed. The members of the Province adding to the spirit of the evening and offering their knowledge about the mark and what it means to them.

From all the members I met during the drinks reception prior to supper their feedback was generous and positive, hopefully there will be 23 new mark masons in the fulness of time.

The evening concluded with the WM and WCN wishing all a happy Christmas.
