Mark Masonry and Royal Ark Mariner (RAM) Masonry have been associated since the latter part of the 19th Century. In fact, at that time there was much pressure for the Mark Degree to become incorporated into Craft Freemasonry. Ultimately this did not occur, and today, in England and Wales, both Degrees are administered from Mark Masons Hall, London.
Those wishing to join these Degrees of Freemasonry must be regular members in good standing of a Craft Lodge of Freemasons. Candidates for the RAM Degree must already be members of Mark.
