Caister Lifeboat receives life saving equipment

 2026 August Caister Lifeboat

Caister Volunteer Lifeboat Service held an Open Day, where Wroxham Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners and the East Anglian Mark Benevolent Association (EAMBA) made a presentation of a Nemo cordless submersible angle grinder to help the volunteers cutting though masts, rigging and bulkheads of vessels in distress.

Prior to the presentation, the volunteers were only able to use a junior hacksaw, axe and scissors to perform these tasks. Jason Delf, a Steward in Wroxham RAM and a volunteer with Caister Lifeboat, had suggested the donation of the equipment and with the help and encouragement of Scribe Mike Hall, made an application for assistance from the EAMBA was applied for, and granted.

Our Deputy Provincial Grand Master Mark Cook, the Assistant PGM David Good, Trevor Tinley for the EAMBA, made the presentation on behalf of the Province, with lodge members also present. Another local good cause benefitting from your donations. St Winold RAM and Breckland Mark Lodges have pledged further donations to this very worthy cause.
